Check-In: All visitors must check in at the front desk. First-time visitors entering the active climbing areas must properly complete a waiver and Acknowledgement of Risks form, prior to entry, as well as attend a facility orientation.
Age Restrictions and Adult Supervision: Children under the age of 5 years old are not allowed to walk or be placed in the active climbing areas and require 1:1 adult-to-child supervision. We provide selective times with drop-in childcare options for an additional $5 fee. If you are interested in this option, please see somebody at our front desk. Youth participants age 5-13 must be actively supervised by an adult 18 years or older. Parents/Guardians/Chaperones are responsible for the behavior of their children or youth they are supervising.
Instruction: Climb Lawrence does not allow any belay or safety instruction in the gym other than that offered by our instructors and staff.
Auto Belays: As part of our facility tour, we provide instructions for safely clipping into the auto belays. The minimum age to self-operate the auto belays is 10 years old. Adults 18 or older may connect/disconnect minors under the age of 10.
Top Ropes: Climbers must complete a belay lesson or check prior to using our top ropes. Both the belayer and climber must be belay certified to use top ropes, regardless of who is climbing/belaying. Climbers and belayers must clearly communicate with their climbing partners and perform safety checks. Roped climbers must tie directly into their harness (as the harness manufacturer suggests) with a figure 8 follow-through knot. Belayers must utilize the proper PBUS technique. No sitting or lying down while belaying. Participants must be at least 13 years old to belay.
Bouldering: All boulderers must attend a facility tour before bouldering. This tour includes safety rules, gym etiquette, and proper falling technique. Be aware of the possible trajectory of another climber’s fall, particularly with overhanging walls. Never stand, sit, or walk in an area where another climber could fall.
General Gym Rules: Do not swing on the ropes. NO running, jumping off of padding or furniture, gymnastics, no bare feet on the mats, back flips, wrestling, etc. Unruly conduct, not following staff directions, or not following the rules of the facility will be cause for removal from the gym. The use of vulgar language or improper conduct is not permitted. Please refrain from yelling or screaming.
Potential Hazards: Immediately report any problems, concerns, or potential hazards with the walls, facility, equipment, or ropes to a member of the staff.
Food/ Beverage: No food or drinks are allowed on the climbing pads/mats. Tables are provided for water bottles around the gym. No climbing, bouldering, operating the auto belay, or belaying of any kind is allowed while under the influence of intoxicants or controlled substances

Payment for all Youth and adult 4-week sessions must be paid in full on or before the first date of the session.
EFT (monthly) Payments go out on the first of each month and apply membership for the entirety of the month. Cancellations must happen 1 week prior to the first of each month to ensure you are not charged an additional month.
For any failed payment EFT, we will attempt to contact you to either switch your card or choose another temporary payment option. In the event that we are unable to reach you or receive payment, we reserve the right to cancel your membership.
Annual and 6-month memberships may be put on hold under extenuating circumstances such as prolonged illness. Annual and 6-month passes may only go on hold once per paid membership, and we reserve the right to incur a $12 reservation fee for holding your membership. Any portion of your membership left over at the beginning of your hold date will become available once you take your membership off hold.
Annual memberships may not be refunded, however, may be transferred to another person for the remainder of the membership duration. This should only happen under the event of extenuating circumstances (I.E. major illness or an unexpected move out of the state) and must receive a manager’s approval as well as written or verbal approval from the original account holder.
